KINGSPORT - Mr. Eric Colby Griffith, age 40, of Kingsport, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
Colby was born on February 19, 1983, to Troy "Jamie" Griffith and Kym Ward.
He was of the Christian faith. Colby loved UT football, was a big supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed local softball, camping and fishing.
Colby is preceded in death by his grandmother, Carolyn Sparks and great-grandmother, Ruth Humphrey; aunt Renee Tarlton.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Liam Griffith; step-children, Mary Jane, Judy, Samuel and Daisy Carver; girlfriend, Amanda Scism; brother, Austin Griffith; sisters, Kelly Griffith and Madison Griffith; 3 step-brothers; 4 step-sisters; maternal grandfather, Jimmy Chaffin; maternal grandmother, Loretta Edwards; nieces, Karley and Kennedy Clark; nephews, Sawyer and Camilo Griffith; uncles, Doug Chaffin and Scott Edwards; aunt, Christine McCurry and several cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM, on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Lee officiating.
