Erby Randal Nave January 7, 1951- May 19, 2024
JOHNSON CITY - Erby Randal Nave, age 73, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 19, 2024. Born to Margie L. Murphy and Ralph W. Ramsey on January 7, 1951. Randal was adopted by Anna Lorraine Thompson and Carson Ray Nave as an infant.
Randal served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He retired from the City of Johnson City with over 25 years of service in Motor Transport. He was a graduate of Northeast State Community College. He was a member of Keystone Freewill Baptist Church. He was a member of the American Legion.
Randal enjoyed vintage cars, UT Vols sports and a good hamburger. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them at every opportunity.
Randal is survived by his children, Andrew (Brandi) Nave, Charles (CJ) Andes, grandchildren, Andrea, Randal, Charlsea (Landon), Andrew, Aaron, Melanie, Ashlyn, Kayley, Alissa, Tiffany (Kenny), Steffany, and Andrew. Great grandchildren, Ollie Jo, Carter, Jax, Ellie and Oliver. Siblings, Russell (Patti) Thompson, Pat (Al) McCrae, Cheryl (Gary) Pollack, Rick Beaver, Ralph (Charlene) Ramsey, David (Cindy) Ramsey, Juanita Lowery, Joseph (Karen) Ramsey. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Jackie, sisters Rhetha, Joyce, Rose Marie, brother James, and daughter Wendy.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00pm at Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City. A memorial service will follow at 5:00pm with Rev. Jerry Honeycutt officiating.
Randal will be laid to rest with his wife, Jackie, on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 1:00pm at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military honors bestowed by the DAV#39.
