Mrs. Emma Jean Grant, age 94, passed away on January 6, 2025, at Durham Hensley Nursing Home.
Emma was born on July 3, 1930, to the late Ira and Blanche Woodruff Furches, in Jonesborough, Tennessee.
She was a member of Catherine Ninney Baptist Church of Whitesburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell "Sonny" Grant; brothers, Jimmy Furches, Carlos Furches, Calvin Furches; sister, Virginia Shrader.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ira Grant (Anita) of Limestone; granddaughters, LaTosha Grant and Alyssa Grant, both of Jonesborough; Carson and Connor Lindner, of Jonesborough; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Craig Ponder officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, prior to the service.
Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 9, 2025, at New Victory Baptist Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons, Carson and Connor Lindner.

I loved my sweet little Emma Jean, she was always so sweet to me and loved talking my ear off. I will miss her , Ira I´m so sorry for your loss. I´ll always remember my two little ladies, I´ll miss you dearly my little Emma Jean
