KINGSPORT - Emely Faith Runion, 6, of Kingsport, entered Heaven fully healed on Saturday, November 11, 2023, after a brief illness at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Emely was the daughter of Andrew and Jessica Runion.
Uniquely made God, Emely overcame numerous challenges in her short life. Her sweet disposition and resiliency were an inspiration to all who met her. Her life will be a continual testimony of God's grace and power to supersede expectations and limitations. Her joy in life was music, specifically worship to her Creator. Regardless of the condition of her body, Emely thoroughly enjoyed camping, biking, hiking, and rolling over anything bumpy in her wheelchair.
Emely was a member of Grace Point Fellowship in Kingsport and assisted the worship team with her one-of-a kind vocals.
Emely was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Wade M. Runion.
In addition to her parents, Emely is survived by two sisters, Amanda (Zack) Hartley and Emma Beckner, two brothers, Brantley and Nathan, maternal grandparents Brian and Betty Briscall, and paternal grandmother, Helen Runion. Also surviving are maternal aunt Melissa (Johnathan) Winstead and uncles Jeremy (Holly) Briscall and Micah Briscall and paternal uncle Matthew (Renee) Runion. She was blessed to have fourteen cousins, Matthew Jr., Mark, Spencer, Loie, Sydney, Jenna, Melody, Evie, Owen, Bram, Natalie, Noelle, Tyndall, and Truitt.
Emely Runion's family will hold a Celebration of Life in her honor at Grace Point Fellowship, 130 VFW Rd, Kingsport, TN, on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. If you knew Emely, her family would love for you to join them in worshipping together and remembering her precious life.
Emely's family would also like to thank the multitude of medical professionals and providers who advocated and treated her with the utmost care during her life.
