CHURCH HILL - Elizabeth Ann Stanley, age 78, of Church Hill, Tennessee passed on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born in Kinston, North Carolina, a daughter of Joseph Clayton Johnson and Anne Eliza Brown Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one half-brother, Norman Johnson; and one nephew, Lee Johnson.
Elizabeth was a member of Oakwood Forest Christian Church in Kingsport and had worked in Meals on Wheels. Her and her husband, Robert were the first couple married in the church on February 18, 1966. She was the Office Manager and Agent with family-owned Real Estate companies Able Realty and Century 21. She loved spending time at the beach, celebrating Christmas, and spending time with her family which was her life. She will be remembered as a faithful Christian with Jesus being an important part of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Stanley; two children, Melissa Carol Phillips, and Robert Ryan Stanley, Jr. and wife Andrea; five grandchildren; one great grandson; and one brother and sister-in-law, Joe Johnson and wife Patty.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 6:00PM until 6:45PM at Monte Vista Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 7:00PM with Pastor Josh Whaley officiating. Private Committal Service and Entombment will be held in the Chapel Mausoleum at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
