Earnest Hale Obituary

Earnest "Allen" Hale

JONESBOROUGH - With heavy hearts and grateful spirits, we celebrate the extraordinary life of Allen Hale, who entered into eternal rest just a few weeks before what would have been his 75th birthday. Allen was the youngest of twelve siblings and is now reunited in Heaven with all but one-his beloved sister, Betty Hale of Kentucky, who continues to honor their bond.

Allen was a man of strength, faith, and unwavering devotion. He is survived by his cherished wife of almost 56 beautiful years, Alice Hale of Jonesborough, TN, whom he married on May 22, 1970. From the moment they met, Allen knew that God had chosen them-to love, to grow together, and to raise the two boys he gifted them. God knew it would take a strong man and a fearless faith to raise the boys, and he lived out both with grace and courage.

He was the proud and loving father of Cory Alan Hale (wife Amy) of Jonesborough and Jeremy Robert Hale (wife Chasity) of Jonesborough, the light of his days and the purpose behind his unwavering commitment to family. Some of his greatest joys came with the birth of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he loved with his whole heart.

He is deeply missed by his grandchildren: Amelia Hale of Jonesborough, Jasmine Nave (Spencer) of Piney Flats, Austin Allen Hale (Paige) of Jonesborough, and his youngest shadow and retirement companion, Ivy Hale (Jonesborough).

His legacy continues through his great-granddaughters: Ella Willis, Brexlei Hixson, Briar Nave, and Alexandra Nave - each one a precious piece of his heart.

In addition to his immediate family, Allen leaves behind a large and loving extended family, including many devoted sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews, all of whom were touched by his warmth, kindness, and wit.

Allen's love stretched far beyond his family tree. He was a devoted member of Walnut Christian Church, where his faith family held a special place in his heart.

Whether it was a weekday or a weekend, you'd often find Allen-Pop-Pop-on the sidelines, in the stands, or just nearby, cheering on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with pride. He was the ultimate supporter.

To everyone who has reached out with kind words, heartfelt messages, and thoughtful gestures during this time-we are so deeply grateful. Your love has been a light in our mourning, and a reminder of how much he was cherished by all who knew him.

Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find peace in knowing that Allen Hale now rests in Heaven, where joy is eternal and love never ends. He was a good man, a godly man, and he will be missed beyond measure.

A celebration of life, where family and friends can gather to remember and honor Allen, will be held at a later date, at Walnut Christian Church in Johnson City.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Walnut Christian Church 2318 Greenwood Drive Johnson City, TN in honor of Allen.

Alice - I am so sorry to hear of Allen's passing. Even though we have not seen each other for decades, I still have very fond memories of both you and Allen. I always enjoyed our social events where I could see and talk to with both of you. I also enjoyed working with Allen on a daily basis for all of my first years in Johnson City. I wish he had not left you and the entire community as early as he did, but the community and my life are better because we interacted with both of you.
I wish you well as you move into this new chapter of your life. Roger Cox
