GRAY - On March 17, 2024, Earl Clifford Griffin went to be with the Lord.
He was the son of the late Claude and Mable Griffin.
Earl was a devoted Christian. He was a member of Boone Trail Baptist Church in Johnson City. Earl served in the US Army as a paratrooper. He was an amazing dad and grandfather; you could not have asked for better. Earl loved working in the yard, planting flowers and mowing. He enjoyed taking pictures and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Earl was preceded in death by four brothers: Bob, Larry, Donald, and Russell Griffin; and his very special granddaughter, Nicole Rosenbaum.
Earl is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Pauline Conelle Griffin and nine children: Bobby Duncan (Debbie), Johnny Duncan, Kathy Duncan, Jimmy Duncan, Michelle Rosenbaum (Larry), Selena Fugate (Sammy), Cyndee Swatts (Bill), Lori Harold (Ron), and Greggory Griffen. Earl had nineteen grandchildren: Brittany, Bianca, Ty, Karie Grace, Nicolos, Kailey, Symantha, Kody, Samuel (Boo), Nikki, Alexa, Kailyn, Krista, Kollin, Zach, Chelsa, Janey, and Gregory; several great-grandchildren; two sisters: Phyllis Dewitt and Helen Griffin.
He will be greatly missed until we see you again in Heaven.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 5:00 to 6:30pm at Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City. A funeral service will follow at 6:30pm with Chaplain Randall Holmes officiating and special guest speaker, Ira Barnes.
Earl will be laid to rest on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 1:00pm at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Greeneville, TN.
Pallbearers will be Boo Fugate, Sammy Fugate, Braden McCann, Dylan Tripplett, Gerald Greene, Dustin Coomer, and Kody Pardue.
Honorary pallbearer will be Larry Rosenbaum.
