We met Mr. Gouge after we moved into the Baywood Drive "hood." He and Andy rode over on the golf cart to check us out. What a nice gentleman!! Prayers and condolences to the Gouge family and all who loved him.

Jerry,
I met your dad one time when you and I worked together at Sycamore Shoals hospital and he seemed like a really good guy. Sorry for your loss. Let me know if you need anything.

Gone but NEVER forgotten!
If there could be a picture in the dictionary beside the definition of , " A Prince of a Gentleman ", you would see Earl´s !
Such a wonderful , kind man. Always smiling!
Our love , thoughts and prayers are with you Andy , Beth and the family.
God Bless you.

My most sincere condolences to Earl's family. For years he kept me dressed in suits and sport jackets at his store. He always amazed me by his uncanny ability to spot a persons size as they walked in the door. Earl always remembered your name even after several months. At least 90% of the time he was correct. He is sincerely missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Gouge was a good and respected man. He was a people person and loved to make people laugh. If you lived in the Johnson City area and personal didn´t know Mr. Gouge, there´s a good chance that you know someone who knew him. Mr. Gouge was the father of one of my best friends (Andy). As a kid I spent a lot of time at the Gouge home. Mr. Gouge would always find time to play ball with us, take us to the lake, or any other activities we did. He always seemed to have a funny story or joke to tell, and I always enjoyed being with him. He will truly be missed by all of those who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Gouge family.

Mr. Earl was always a gentleman to me. A king man who loved his wife, family but mostly the Lord. I was honored to know him and will look forward to the day I see him again in Heaven. May the Lord comfort your family at this time of loss.

I remember Earl as a gentleman of great integrity and a wonderful sense of humor. Earls Mens Shop was my go to place for clothing. I fondly remember Earl teaching me how to pick out and match ties with my sport coats. May he rest in peace and his memory be a blessing to all.

Lots of good memories of this wonderful kind man. I worked for several years with his daughter, Kim at First Federal.
My prayer and sympathy goes out to all his family and May each of you keep those 94 years of memories tucked inside your heart.

I'm sadden to hear about Earls passing. I did Betty and his hair for years. He was a great guy and very devoted to Betty and his children. Hope the memories of Earl & Betty carry the family through this difficult time. Just knowing they are in brings a smile to my face

I have lots of memories of Earl and his clothing shop. My father-in-law would not buy clothes anywhere except at Earls. He was a very nice friendly man and I am so glad we got to know him. May all you great memories bring you peace.
