May 31, 2025

JOHNSON CITY - Dustin Charles Arnett, age 36, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his residence on May 31, 2025.

Born on November 8, 1988, in Johnson City, Dustin was a proud graduate of Science Hill High School, Class of 2008. He was known for his deep love of music, which he shared freely and often - singing with family and friends was one of his greatest joys. His warm voice, infectious laughter, and generous spirit brought light to those around him.

A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, Dustin rarely missed a game and cheered passionately for his team. He also found great enjoyment in professional wrestling, faithfully tuning in to his favorite shows every week. His enthusiasm for these passions reflected his fun-loving nature and his ability to find joy in life's simple pleasures.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Dugger, Uncle Darrell Dugger & Uncle Jeffrey Lynn Arnett.

Dustin is survived by his father, Richard Arnett, his loving mother, Darlene Arnett, his sister, Jennifer Good, her husband, Josh & his loving companion Scooter; His maternal grandmother, Jacquline Dugger; his paternal grandparents, Larry and Ada Arnett; three aunts, JoAnn Krouse and husband, Randall, Kim Miller and Sherry Dunn and husband, Tommy; He is also cherished in memory by several cousins, niece (Riley), and nephew (Bentley) who will carry his love in their hearts.

Funeral Services for Dustin will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, June 6, 2025 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Pastor Harold Jones officiating. Music will be provided by Jeremy Asher and songs selected by his family. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM in Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Gardens, 2630 TN-75, Blountville, TN 37617. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to give special thanks to Brian Edwards, Makayla Caudle & State of Franklin Healthcare for all of his care, support, and for going the extra mile to ensure Dustin was well cared for. Your kindness and dedication meant more than words can express.

Dustin will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

To Dustin's family
I am so so sorry to hear of Dustin's passing. I am so glad that I was his aide at Science Hill High School. I will always remember his love of country music, his meeting of Reba McIntyre and the way him and I had a football battle during football season(him Cowboys, me Eagles) He was so smart and that smile always lit up the room. Sending thought, prayers, and hugging you all in my heart
