Together with her late husband, Joe Sam Carter, she shared a love that extended beyond their home-both were avid participants in the world of quarter midget car racing. They traveled extensively, not only to compete but also to support others in the racing community, creating cherished memories as they navigated the tracks together.
As a loving matriarch, Marie cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, David Carter (Penny), Stephen Carter (Tammy), and Joane Gottenboss (Ray). Her family grew through the years, blessing her with thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
