Donald Williams Obituary

ELIZABETHTON - Donald Eugene Williams, 93, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, in the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. A native of Carter County, he was born May 25, 1930, in Big Stone Gap, Virginia to the late Alfonzo & Pearl Pierce Williams. He had lived in Carter County for a number of years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Inland Container after 37 years of service. In earlier years he loved to hunt and fish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Eva Williams, three sisters: Gertrude Bradley, Reba Lane and Kathleen Cornett and three brothers: Jack, Palmer and A.F. Williams.

Survivors include his brother: James Marion "Jim" Williams. Also, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2023, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720. Military Honors will be provided. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home prior to the service. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
