WATAUGA - Diane E. Williams, 77, Watauga went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 21, 2025 at her residence with her family by her side. She was a native of Washington County and was a daughter of the late Harry and Viola White Campbell. Diane was a member of Tabernacle of the Living God Church where she worshiped until her illness prevented her from attending.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Buford :Butch" Williams Jr.; her daughter, Mellissa Diane Palladino; a brother, Harry Campbell; three sisters, Shelby Jean Hill, Carolyn Baird and Violet Pealer.

Survivors include her husband, Buford "Butch" Williams Sr.; a daughter, Joyce Killion; a son, Joshua Adam Williams; two sisters, Jewell Roark and Mary Cross; grandchildren, Justin Williams, Chelsea Mann, Chasity Whitehead, Brandon Mann and Micayla Moody; great-grandchildren, Alexis Tipton, Kayleigh Tipton, Destiny Tipton, Jayden and Christopher, Jaycee Bryant, Aaliyah Bryant, Tabitha Miller, Chloe and Christopher Johnson; great-great-grandchildren, Landon and Paisley McCurry; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Diane Will be conducted at 6:00 PM Thursday, September 25, 2025 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Pastor Lenny Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held at Friday, September 26, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Washington County Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 PM.
