JOHNSON CITY - Diane Sue Christopher Greer, 85, of Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
She was born in De Soto, Missouri, to the late Chester Christopher and Doris Burgess Christopher. She had resided for many years in Johnson City. Diane was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, William B. Greer, and her sister, Mary John Catlett.
Those surviving include her daughters, Theresa Greer of Johnson City, Christy Holcombe and husband Dave of Bethlehem, PA; brothers, Michael Christopher and Bobby Christopher; sister-in-law, Linda Greer; two grandsons, Jacob Fritz and wife Hillary, and Mathew Fritz; great-granddaughter, Gabriella Fritz; nephew, Shanon Catlett and wife Mary Jane; great-nephew, Wesley Catlett; and various extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Southside Baptist Church, 1928 Wheeler Street, Johnson City, TN 37604. A celebration of life will follow at 5:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Roy Lowe. Diane Greer will be laid to rest with her husband at Mountain Home National Cemetery in a private family ceremony conducted by Pastor William Lunsford.
