JONESBOROUGH - Mr. Dennis Lynn Rice, age 70, Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at NHC Healthcare Center.
Mr. Rice was born on January 6, 1953, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to the late Clarence and Lora Tester Rice. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Russell Rice.
He was a member of New Victory Methodist Church. He graduated from the last class of Lamar High School in 1971.
Dennis along with his father and brother operated the Rice Dairy Farm and in later years, his beef operation.
Survivors include his sister, Juanita Miles, and husband Clarence, of Jonesborough; nephew, John Miles, of Jonesborough; niece, Amy Miles of Jonesborough; aunt, Hazel Goodman of Jonesborough; several cousins.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Graceland Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Cathy Downs officiating. Friends may come by Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home on Friday, January 5, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM to view and sign the register and at other times at the home of Amy Miles, 103 B. Chase Road, Jonesborough, TN 37659.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Watts, John Miles, Shane Ledford, Matthew Campbell, Matthew Arrowood, Clarence Miles, and Alan Hayes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Clark and Roy Constable.
