September 2, 1970 – March 7, 2024
JOHNSON CITY - Dena Kay Reese of Johnson City, passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2024, in Wilmington, NC. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend who enjoyed spending time outdoors and at the beach where she was at peace. Dena is survived by her 3 daughters Amber, Danielle, and Kayla Cole, 4 grandchildren, 2 sisters Shannon Hudson and Heather Reese, as well as other family members. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Kay and Jerry Reese, and her grandparents Phyllis and Grover Smith. Dena will be remembered for her kind and caring nature, as well as her love for her family. A private ceremony will be held for Dena with details provided by the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a charity of your choice in Dena's memory.

I remember playing with Dena at Mamaw and Papaw's house. we had so much fun! It hurts my heart to know that you have lost your mom so young. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
