Dave & I talked each other into going out for football in the 5th grade at Notthside. We promised each other we would be Toppers in high school. I think we were the only ones to make it off that 5th grade team. We have been friends for years. Prayers to all family.

David was little older than me, but got to know him in high school. He was tough, rugged football player, with wonderful sense of humor. Got to see him a few times in the past 6-7 years, and enjoyed him always. He was an inspiration to me and all that knew him. My condolences to the family. May God keep, bless, and give you peace and comfort. Tony Street.

I will always remember the good times that I had with Mike, Pat, David and Gary growing up as next door neighbors on Brown's Mill Road in Johnson City. We also shared good times at Science Hill High School.

I pray God bless the Story family. I got the privilege of knowing David and David Jr. at the Eagles. What a great family. Loved listening to his life stories. May God continue to bless you through the days ahead

I got to know David when he was at Duke hospital awaiting his heart transplant. Even then he was a fun guy with a terrific sense of humor. Since then we have met at UT games in Koxville and in Columbia when playing the Gamecocks. Alot of good times. He is already missed.
My prayers for Linda & his family.
Blessings, Bill Smith

David was a friend since high school. I always remember him on November 30, as we shared the same birthday. Rest in peace, David. Prayers for your family.

Went to grade school through graduation from Science Hill with David. I most remember going to a day movie at Majestic Theater in the 7th grade. He always had a smile on his face. Prayers for his family! Helen King Nicodemus
