David Jones Obituary

David Wayne Jones

June 29, 1946 -

April 21, 2025

David Wayne Jones, a devoted servant of the Lord, beloved husband, father, and respected urologist, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 21,2025. He was born June 29,1946 in LaRue County, Kentucky the son of Grant and Pauline Jones. He was a man of deep faith, unwavering integrity, and boundless compassion.

David proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he combined his dedication to medicine with a heart for service. His time in uniform instilled in him a lifelong commitment to helping others, a calling he carried into his decades-long career as a urologist. Patients and colleagues alike respected his skill, his gentleness, and his sincere care for every life he touched.

Above all, David was a family man. He loved his wife, Kay, with a quiet, steadfast devotion that was evident to all who knew them. Together, they built a life rich in love, laughter, and shared faith. He was a proud and loving father to his children, whom he guided with wisdom, patience, and an open heart. His family was the joy of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

David's legacy is one of faith, service, and love. He lived his life for others - for his country, his patients, his church, and most of all, for his family. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the lives he touched and the hearts he warmed.

Those left to cherish and remember David include three sons, Jason, Joshua, and Benjamin and his bonus kids Paul and Becky. His grandchildren who knew and loved him as their Pawie include Holly, Wesley, Allison, Johnny, Sydney, Van, Mae, Bailey, Thomas and Emmett. His great grandchildren include Ava, Emma, and Michael.

A special sister Mary Holt.

David chose to be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and share stories.

Peace of Christ to the family of Dr. Jones. My mother and I were patients of Dr. Jones many years ago. He was a kind and gentle spirit as a physician. I was anxious at my first appointment but his demeanor quickly took away the worry.

Dr. Jones was a wonderful doctor. He took care of my Grandfather, Father and myself. He became a true friend. His expertise, knowledge and experience was invaluable. His compassion was felt, as he spoke of keeping the faith through difficult medical issues. He always took time to listen to my issues. He could lead and guide me through the difficult times.
Forever in my heart. Prayers for his family.
With much appreciation, Jim Hyder and family.
