SEATTLE, WA - David Early: A Life Well-Lived
David Early, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on April 13th, 2024 at age 80. He was born on June 18, 1943, in Kingsport, TN.
He was married for 58 years to his wife, Pat. Together, they raised two children, Melinda (John) and Chris (Heather), and immensely enjoyed his three grandchildren: Rivers, Flora, and Benjamin.
After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Dave and Pat relocated to Seattle, WA. As a metallurgic engineer, his career spanned 40 years highlighted by numerous new airplane programs, dedicated to supplier quality, field operations, including composite fuselage on-site support to the groundbreaking 787 program.
Dave loved coaching Little League and Scouting America, including hikes at the renowned Philmont Scout Ranch, NM. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, skiing, hiking (summiting Mt. Rainier), and spending time on his East Tennessee farm.
David will be remembered for his warmth, humor, generosity, and love for family and friends.
