Claude Macil Duncan Jr. passed away at his home Friday, February 28th, 2025 with his loving wife of 68 years, Barbara Ann Duncan along with his daughter, Michele Stephens & son, Claude Macil Duncan III by his side.

He was known, loved and respected in many areas husband, daddy, papaw, brother, uncle, deacon, worship pastor, friend and known throughout the FBI agency as the mongoose.

When not spending time with his family or doing ministry, Claude loved to sing and play his guitar, write music, take pictures and work in the yard.

During his life he had many accomplishments, including serving his country in the army then going on to having a successful career as a special agent with the FBI, to leading Worship in churches, leading children, youth, and adult choirs throughout the East TN area. Throughout his lifetime he has helped plant churches, led mission teams, served with key roles in local Baptist Associations.

However, the true testament to of his life is the legacy he left behind; which slowly trickled into his house that Friday through Saturday. His children, all in full-time ministry, whose spouses Dr. Chris Stephens and Judy Duncan also are involved in ministry; his 6 grandkids Candice Faith Pezzulo, Micah Stephens, Shaina Lancing, Zac Stephens, Rachel Freeman and Maci Waller and their spouses are also serving faithfully in their respective churches along with 9 great-grandkids Jael, Isabella, Scarlett, Skyler, River, Judah, Valor, Ezra and Maddox. Claude led his family with a firm belief in Jesus, and it is a legacy that will carry on for generations, rippling through his descendants, following his example of loving and leading people to Jesus.

Preceded in death by his father Claude Macil Duncan Sr., his mother Oveda Duncan and 5 brothers G.R , Tony, David, Tommy and Bill.

Claude was a wonderful Christian example. He had a great way with all people, old or young. Little Doe Baptist Church was so fortunate to have him and Barbara serve our choir. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. May you find comfort in your many memories. God bless.

Claude & Barbara are fantastic Christians and so faithful to God through all the works they have done. I feel so blessed to have had him as our Choir Director and prayer warrior! He was so thoughtful, he visited me in the hospital and called me to encourage me through the most difficult time in loosing our Son Kevin and 2 more family members within days of each other. We Love Claude & Barbara
