JOHNSON CITY - Christopher Byron Stone, 69, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, February 26th. Born in Abingdon, VA, to "Rocky" and Doris Stone. He lived in Bristol, VA, until moving to Greeneville. He graduated from GHS in 1973, where he met the love of his life, Vicki Stone, wife of 45 years. He worked at Nickles, Libby Owens Ford/Pilkington, and Boones Trail Baptist Church until he retired.
In addition to his wife Vicki, survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Tommy Staggs of Greeneville; one son, Andrew Stone of Tucson, AZ; Four special grandchildren, Hannah, Elijah, Julia, and Elizabeth Staggs of Greeneville; mother-in-law Geraldine Pierce of Greeneville, brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Paige Pierce, Debbie Broyles, Sara and James Carter all of Greeneville, special niece, April Robinson and cousin Brenda Bunn and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Billy Stone, sister Cheryl Anderson, father-in-law Jim Pierce and brother-in-law Larry Broyles.
The Funeral Service will be Saturday at 12 noon March 2, 2024 at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton with Tommy Staggs officiating. Graveside service will follow in GraceLand Memorial Gardens.

Chris was a good friend and a pleasure to work with at the Nickels Speed Shop in Johnson City and later in the inside sales group at Nickels Perforformance Whse. He always had a smile for his co-workers and was missed when he changed careers. Prayers and condolences for his family at this time.
