Christopher "Chris" Lee Bailey

ERWIN - Christopher "Chris" Lee Bailey, age 50, of Erwin, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Erwin and son of the late Harold and Betty Hardin Bailey.

Chris was a Welder at Borla. He was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church.

Chris was an avid Alabama fan. He was a very hard worker who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles in his spare time.

In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by one brother, Brian Bailey.

Chris is survived by his three children: Lucas Bailey, Zoey Bailey, and Brian Hughes; sister, Kathy Hensley and husband, Mike of Unicoi; nieces and nephews: Heather Stanford, Justin Bennett (Kendall), Paige Williams (Brad), and Adam Hensley; his dog and best buddy, Colt; several great nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held for Chris on Saturday, May 31, 2025, in the Evergreen Cemetery. Pastor Brian Campbell will officiate. Wayne Sawyer will play the bagpipes. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 p.m. on Saturday.
