Charlotte Gray Obituary
Charlotte Valdean Gray February 11, 1929 - August 27, 2024
Charlotte Valdean Gray 95, went to her heavenly home praising Jesus on August 27, 2024. Born in Unicoi, TN on February 11, 1929, Charlotte lived a long and fulfilling life dedicated to her family and following Jesus. She worked part time as a registered nurse for the Veterans Administration. After her retirement, she spent her days traveling with her husband, playing with grandsons, and baking chocolate chip cookies with her granddaughters. She enjoyed cooking family dinners, canning vegetables, and watching her grandchildren grow up.
Charlotte is preceded in death by: husband Burleigh Gray; parents Robert Horton & Maude Goodman; brother Floyd Horton; sister Madge Miller.
Valdean a loving mother, is survived by her three children, Jeff Gray, Greg Gray, Sr. (Jackie), and Teresa Osborne (Todd); grandchildren Greg Gray Jr (Stephanie), Joshua Osborne (Danielle), Jordon Osborne (Maddison), Julianne Allen (Nehemiah), and Clarissa Gray; 10 great-grandchildren and expecting one this fall. She brought joy and love into the lives of those around her and was an exceptional example of a Christian wife and mother. She left her family with many wonderful memories.
The Gray family will receive friends Thursday August 5, 2024, from 11:00 - 1:00 PM at Morris Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with a ceremony honoring Valdean's life. The graveside service will follow the funeral service at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Officiating the services will be Dr. Mark Pearson.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Valdean's name to Westminster Presbyterian Church Missions Fund, or Good Samaritan at goodsamjc.org
