Charlotte "Louise" Arnold

June 16, 2025

JOHNSON CITY - Charlotte "Louise" Arnold, 95 of Johnson City passed away Monday, June 16, 2025 at Lakebridge Health Care Center. She was a native of Elizabethton and was a daughter of the late John and Ina Mae Nidiffer Treadway.

Louise "Nana" was a caretaker to all who met her. She loved her family dearly. Nana loved to cook and have everyone come to eat. She was a hardworker and worked until late in life as a presser for Freeman Taylor & Sons & Grady's Cleaners. Nana had a strong work ethic. Her feisty spirit earned the respect and friendship of many during her career.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Arnold; two daughters, Judy Holder Laws and Carol Holder; ten brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Treadway Deloach, Helen Treadway Thomas, R.L. Treadway, Virginia Treadway Shipley, Guy Treadway, Alta Treadway, Allen Treadway, Faye Treadway Norris, Lillian Treadway Perry and Harold Treadway.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Stroud and Lloyd Davis of Johnson City; three grandchildren, Joy Beth Laws, Jessica Miller and husband, Kevin Miller and Joshua Stroud and wife, Dr. Jordan Stroud; four great-grandchildren, Daniel Paul, Lauryn Laws, Finn Stroud and Graham Stroud; many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Louise will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 21, 2025 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Mr. Louie Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the service hour.

The family would like to special thanks to the staff of Lakebridge Health Care Center of Johnson City for the wonderful care they provided during their mother's stay there.
