Charles Michael Degeer

February 24, 2025

Charles Michael Degeer, 63, Johnson city went home to be with our Lord, on Monday, February 24, 2025 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born July 30, 1961 in Pontiac, Michigan and had lived in Winter Haven, Florida. Charles was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He loved working as an over the road truck driver and his hobby was working on and fixing up cars. Charles served his country in the United States Coast Guard and the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Gloria Rounds Degeer.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Christy Ensor Degeer; three daughters, Brittany Hale, Casey Johnson and Tamara Nickerson; a son, Collin Hale; two brother, Jimmy Degger and wife, Sandy and David Degeer; a great friend, Maurice Smith; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a very special nephew and niece, Shawn and Shelly Osburn; also several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Charles will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church, 515 Hart Avenue, Johnson City with Pastor Jim Chatman officiating.
