JONESBOROUGH - Mr. Charles H. "Bud" Causey, age 76, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023, at his residence.
Mr. Causey was born in Erwin, Tennessee to the late Charles A. Causey and Josie Causey, on March 8, 1947.
He retired after working as a long-haul truck driver. He previously worked at Fleming Foods, EPES and UPS Worldwide.
He was a member of Marvin Chapel Methodist Church.
Bud was a devoted husband and loved his wife of 57 years. He loved his children, grandsons, and great grand children very much. He also loved his Daisey Mae.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Lones and his grandparents.
He was a 50-year member of Arcana Lodge, Scottish Rites and Jericho Shrine. He retired from Jonesborough Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Clark Causey; son, Charles Frankie Causey and wife Jamie, Oakboro, NC; daughter, Misty Causey Odom and husband Bill, Telford, TN; grandchildren, Damon Canter, Cheyenne Lowry, Christian Canter, Myshia Gasper, Justin & Katie Odom, Austin & Mariah Odom; great-grandchildren, Brielle Canter, Rylen Gasper, Ava & Cooper Odom and Nora & Ezra Odom; brothers, TJ Causey and wife Tammy, James Causey and wife Carol Ann; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Cook and Pastor Craig Ford officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday prior to the service.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Damon Canter, Christian Canter, Bill Odom, Fuzz Crawford, Bryon Butler, and Bo Booth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Marvin's Chapel Methodist Church 1882 Old Boones Creek Rd. Johnson City, TN 37615.

I am so sorry for the loss of Bud. I just today found out he has passed away. Bud and I dated in 1965 for some time. He was funny, kind, sweet and i enjoyed knowing him. Praying for his family...
