Charisse Peeks Obituary
May 3, 1961 - January 5, 2025
GRAY - Charisse Karen Peeks, age 63, of Gray, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly from a brief illness on Sunday, January 5, 2024, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Charisse was born on May 3, 1961 to the late Darrell and Geraldine Peeks while the family was stationed in Germany. Charisse was a graduate of Daniel Boone High School, class of 1979. She worked for the City of Johnson City Water and Sewer Department where she was known as "Cyd" and she retired after 40 years of service.
Charisse was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, her presence was a true blessing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Denise Yontz; and brothers, Lanny Peeks and Roy "Lucky" Peeks.
Those left to cherish her memory besides all who knew her include her sisters, Evelyn Peeks, Patty Osborne, and Tina Vaughn; beloved niece, Kaitlyn Osborne; nephews, Dustin Peeks, Kaleb Peeks, and David Osborne; several nieces and nephews; her lifelong friend, Sue Hollifield; and her special dog, Bella.
Charisse's family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home.
