JOHNSON CITY - Cecil Yoakley Sr., 75, of Johnson City, TN went home to be with the lord on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at his home following a sudden illness.

He was a native of Johnson City, TN and was the son of the late William Arthur Yoakley and (Dixie) Lily Mae Yoakley.

Cecil was employed by the City of Johnson City for 20 some years. Cecil, affectionately known as "Paps", was a loving father, grand-father, and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with his family. He loved being outside, working on cars, listening to the radio, and coloring.

In addition to his parents, Paps was preceded in death by a half- brother, William (Bill) Yoakley and sisters, Nancy Yoakley and Carolyn Sheets.

He is survived by a brother, Raymond Yoakley; sister, Fern Wykle; daughters, Helen Howard (late husband Harvey Howard), Donna Fee (Yoakley), and Teresa Morgan (late husband Tony Morgan); sons, Cecil Yoakley Jr. (wife Christie Yoakley) and Robert Yoakley. He had an enormous amount of grand-children and great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Cecil will be conducted Friday, November 8, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. from the West Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Pastor Jamie Ingram officiating.

Graveside committal service will be conducted at Milburnton United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2495 Old Milburnton Road, Limestone, TN 37681, following the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Robert Yoakley, Cody Howard, Cecil Yoakley Jr., Richard Dugger, Shawn Yoakley, and Richard Yoakley.

The family will receive friends Friday prior to the service from 12 P.M. until 1 P.M. in the West Parlor of the funeral Home.
