Carol McCullough Graham

June 12, 2025

JOHNSON CITY - Carol McCullough Graham, age 84, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed into eternal glory on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

Carol was born on February 25, 1941, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the late Roberta Maude McCullough and Robert Dale McCullough.

She was a 1959 graduate of Edison High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she excelled on the Youth for Christ Bible Quiz team. She attended Wheaton College in Illinois and Northeastern State College in Oklahoma, before graduating from Oklahoma City University in 1967 with a degree in Elementary Education.

She married Larry Gill Graham in 1960 and together they raised five children. Known affectionately as "Mama Graham," she used her legendary flannel graph to teach bible lessons at Doe River Gorge, Coalition for Kids, and Grace Fellowship Church. She also led numerous bible studies for women and bible clubs for children.

Those left to cherish her memory include husband Larry Gill Graham, daughters Charlotte Graham of Laurens SC, Robin Patterson (BJ) of Laurens SC, Carrie Koens (Peter) of Elizabethton TN, sons David Graham (Claudia) of Bassett VA, and Scott Graham (Cathy) of Johnson City TN, along with 5 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, and 2 great-grandsons.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Monday, June 16, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Johnson City, at 5:00pm. Receiving of friends will immediately follow the service.
