JOHNSON CITY - Mr. Carl M. Lewis, age 95, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Claude Carlton Lewis and Frances Mae Sparks Lewis Jarrett.

Throughout his lifetime, Carl owned and operated several businesses including service stations, repair shops, and car washes. He loved his family, enjoyed fishing and visiting with friends-especially mornings with the McDonald's gang, Thursday mornings with the seniors from church at Bob Evans, and his Homebuilders Sunday School Class taught by Larry Shropshire.

A precious person, who's light shined to all those he came in contact with. We will miss him dearly, but know he's sitting at the feet of Jesus, where we all long to be. Prayers for the family he loved so much. Love in Christ, John & Karen Hunt
