Calvin Maupin Obituary

Calvin Noel Maupin, 69, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on September 17th, 2025. Calvin was born on March 13th, 1956, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to Rev. Jack and the late Vedia Cloral Maupin. He is lovingly remembered by his father Rev. Jack Maupin; wife Patricia; his daughter Julie, his sons Jonathan (Linda), Christopher (Tracy), stepson Andy Burch (Jane); three brothers Phillip (Sylvia), Kenneth (Brandi), Jackie; his sister Joy; ten grandchildren; and best friend Randy Williams. He was preceded in passing by his mother Vedia Cloral, and infant sister Della Faye. He had a very strong relationship with the Lord and shared his love with family, friends, and everyone that he could. He was a veteran who did everything he could for his country and those in need. He was very talented in music and art. He could play multiple instruments and his sketches and drawings were beautiful. Calvin spent his life trying to help others and in his passing he donated himself to help bring others peace, a memorial service will be held once his last wishes are fulfilled.

I remember when I was young and hanging around Kenneth at his parents house . Kenneth would be trying to teach me to play guitar. Noel would come through and play for a few moments with us. He could play very well. I alays enjoyed watching him play.

He was a great big brother and will be missed. We were close all of our life and I will see him again in heaven some day. If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, it's not to late. We want you in heaven with us some day. Please don't wait and keep putting it off. Noel's death was totally unexpected and just like him he didn't know his last breath would be this soon. We don't know when our last breath will be, so please be ready to meet Jesus and be welcomed to heaven by Him.

Grew up around Noel and his family being friends with his brother kenneth. Good people. Noel was always kind and giving. He use to let Kenneth drive us around in his Mustang. Sorry tho the Maupin family and friends for your loss.
