Brenda Davis Obituary

Brenda Janette Davis

November 7, 1950 -

April 10, 2025

Brenda Janette Davis, also known to many as Brenda Lewis Davis, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at 4:40 a.m., after a courageous battle with stage 4 breast cancer. She was 74 years old.

A lifelong beacon of love, light, and strength, Brenda was a devoted member of Union Baptist Church and a woman deeply rooted in her faith. Her love for God guided her steps, and her warm, vibrant presence lit up every room she entered. She was generous, kind, and endlessly uplifting-a true friend to all who had the joy of knowing her.

To know Brenda was to feel seen, loved, and encouraged. She had the rare gift of making everyone feel special. Her positivity and unshakable spirit touched countless lives-whether through a warm hug, a shared laugh, or her simple yet profound acts of kindness.

Brenda's strength throughout her cancer journey was awe-inspiring. Even in her weakest moments, she remained a source of hope and strength for others. Her bravery, grace, and unshakable faith were a testament to the power of love and resilience.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Wayne Davis, her son Wayne Davis II, her parents Ivory Hill Lewis and Raymond K. Lewis Sr., and her sister Linda Lewis Ramsey.

Brenda is survived by her loving daughter, Ria B. Davis, and bonus son Andrew M. Begley; her cherished grandson, Davis M. Begley-her pride and joy; her sister Glenna Morton; brothers Raymond Lewis Jr. (Maxine), Randy Lewis (Eddie Mae), and Rex Lewis. She is also survived by a large and loving extended family of nieces and nephews who adored her: Wendi Lewis Kasting, Summer Morton King, John Ramsey, Ronnie Heaton Jr., Ryan Kasting, Kellsie Hicks, Gavin Heaton, Catie Heaton, John Evan Ramsey, Leighton Ramsey, Devin Ramsey, Lyndie Ramsey, and Landon and Connor Ramsey.

Brenda built a life rooted in love, and her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched with her spirit and her faith. She lived for God, loved her family fiercely (especially her grandson) and gave everything she had to everyone she met.

The family will receive friends between the hours of 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Union Baptist Church, 1411 Highway 321, Hampton, Tennessee.

The graveside service will immediately follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend James Bentley officiating.

Pallbearers: John Ramsey, Ronnie Heaton Jr., Devin Ramsey, Chris Kasting, Ryan Kasting, Andrew Begley

Honorary Pallbearers: Members of Union Baptist Church, Brenda's cherished coworkers from Summers-Taylor, her Hampton High School Class of 1968, Lisa Edens-Mixon, Dustin Davis, Kathy Humphrey, Pat Horton, Angie Edwards, Sherry McIntosh, JoAnn Smith, Ethel Grindstaff, Abbie Harris, and the devoted team at Tennessee Cancer Specialists.

Her family finds comfort knowing she is now reunited with her loved ones in Heaven, and they will forever carry her memory and light in their hearts. Brenda was truly a walking Angel here on Earth.
