Mr. Bradford 'Brad' Ryan Riddel May 19, 1976- May 5, 2024
JONESBOROUGH - Mr. Bradford 'Brad' Ryan Riddell, 47, of Jonesborough, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 5, 2024.
Brad was born on May 19, 1976, in Charleston, West Virginia to David 'Dave' Chatham Riddell and Barbara 'Barb' Gerchow Riddell.
Brad graduated from Winfield High School (Winfield, WV) in 1994 and continued his education at Marshall University (Huntington, WV) and West Virginia State College (Institute, WV), where he graduated with an Associate Degree in Hospitality Management in 1999.
Brad had an extremely successful career, spanning decades accumulating accolades within the healthcare community throughout Kentucky, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, and Tennessee. He was currently the Regional Director of Operations at Crothall Healthcare for Compass One Healthcare - Ballad Health.
Brad was an avid Marshall fan (Go Herd!) and greatly anticipated 'boat season' every year.
Brad's greatest achievement in life was his family. On April 12, 2003, he married the love of his life, Carrie Withorne Riddell. They have two beautiful children, Summer Madison Riddell (18) and Hunter Ryan Riddell (17).
Brad is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Carrie, his two children, Summer and Hunter, his parents, Dave and Barb (of Knoxville), his sister Carrie (Mike) Gammill (of Shelbyville), his sister Chrissy (Jason) Harbison (of Knoxville), his 'brother' KC (Bridget) Caplinger (of Hendersonville), his 'brother' Chad (Christy) Sharpe (of Blountville), his father and mother-in-law Nick and Debi Kaufman (of Alabama), his sister-in-law Stephanie (Brian) Hurt (of Alabama), sister-in-law Jamie Withorne (Norway), 14 nieces and nephews and a host of wonderful family and friends worldwide, who will greatly miss his big heart, love of life and his contagious laugh.
Brad is preceded in death by his grandparents Chatham and Virginia Riddell (of West Virginia), Jim and Lois Hornbuckle (of West Virginia), and his father-in-law Steve Withorne (of South Dakota).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made for Brad and Carrie's children, Summer and Hunter, contributions should be sent to Carrie via Zelle at [email protected].
A tribute to the life of Mr. Brad Riddell will be conducted at 11 am Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Tetrick Funeral Services, located at 3001 Peoples Street, Johnson City, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am prior to the service.
