Bonnie was a wonderful neighbor! Every time she saw my aunt sitting on our front porch, she would come across the street to visit with her. She would keep my aunt's mind active by sharing current events. She encouraged the school children who walked from the bus to their homes, to take time to say hello and tell my aunt about their day. When I got home from work and wanted to sit with them, she told me to go inside to make dinner and let them have their time together. When my aunt passed away, Bonnie was her most special friend. Someone who wasn't just family but made the effort to seek her out and make her feel important when all her earlier friends were no longer living or unable to travel to see her. Bonnie had a heart for all people, young and old. She understood the value of friendship, physical connection, and being available to sit with people in their times of need. In addition, Bonnie's home was my husband's second home. A place to share stories, play with her dog and enjoy a glass of wine! She is greatly missed by us both.
