Reverend Bobby Jim "Bob" Campbell August 7, 2024
JONESBOROUGH - Reverend Bobby Jim "Bob" Campbell, age 86 of Jonesborough passed away Wednesday, August 7th at his home surrounded by family following a brief illness. He was a brick mason by trade and a devoted Christian man who traveled many miles to share his love for our Heavenly Father.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife Charlotte Ragsdale Campbell. In addition to his wife, Mr. Campbell is preceded in death by his parents: Samuel and Elizabeth Beckner Campbell; five brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include his 8 children: Robert Campbell and wife Lisa, William Campbell, Steve Campbell, Lottie Campbell and fiancé Junior Houser, John Campbell, Fred Campbell, Tim Campbell, Jeneen Stissel and husband Brandon; one sister, Dorothy Hall. He was a "Papaw" to 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Bob will also be remembered by many friends, neighbors, and church family.
The Campbell family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Sunday at Tetrick Funeral Home in Elizabethton, Tennessee. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm on Sunday at Tetrick Funeral Home. Reverend Larry Garland and Reverend Jason Nunley will be officiating. Singing will be performed by members of Ernestville Church during the service. Interment will follow in Scalf Cemetery with a closing song by Kim Edwards. Pallbearers will include Thom Hengler, Todd Edwards, Joey Campbell, and Mr. Campbell's sons.
In remembrance of Bob's life and love, the family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Isaiah 117 house of Greeneville: a ministry near and dear to his heart.
