JONESBOROUGH - Bobby Jo Barker, 74, of Jonesborough, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, October 26, 2023, at Greeneville Community Hospital East. He was born to the late B.F. Barker and Francis Harrison Barker. Bobby was preceded in death by one brother, Benny Ray Barker.
Survivors include his loving wife of twenty- three years, Jennifer Beth Barker; sons Hunter and Gunner Barker; siblings, Dave Barker (Shelia), Lawerence Barker (Sherry), Nancy Quillen (Charlie), Randy Sue Krouse (Roger), Roger Barker (Robin); brother-in-law, Bo Shell (Noel); along with many precious nieces and nephews.
Bobby was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, and the Associate Pastor. He loved the Lord, his family, farming, cows and hunting.
The Barker family will receive friends on Monday, October 30, 2023, at New Hope Brethren Church from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Craig Ponder, Pastor John H. Moore and Roger Barker officiating. Committal Service and Interment will be Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Gray Cemetery beginning at 11 a.m. Hunter Barker, Gunner Barker, David Barker, Lawrence Barker, Roger Barker and Dallas Arrowood will serve as pallbearers.
