Billy Chappell Obituary

JOHNSON CITY - Billy Brinkley Chappell, Sr., 85, Johnson City, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Four Oaks Healthcare Center.

He was born in Johnson County to the late Oscar W. and Anna T. Brinkley Chappell.

Billy was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked at Holston Ordnance Works.

In addition to his parents Billy was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Imogene Carrier Chappell.

Survivors include his son, Billy B. Chappell, Jr.; daughter, Shannon Roberts and husband Jeff; grandson, Connor B. Chappell; sisters, Pegge Baughcum and Betty Steed.

The graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. in Mountain Home National Cemetery (Historic Site) with Pastor Scott Thompson, officiating. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:50 A.M.
