Billy Ray Brackins May 2, 2024
TELFORD - Billy Ray Brackins, 79, Telford, passed away on Thursday afternoon, May 2, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Pigeon Forge, TN to the late Hershel and Vola Myers Brackins. In addition to his parents, Billy Ray was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Brackins and Otha Dennis Brackins.
He was a member of Limestone Church of Christ. He was a Tennessee Vols Fan and loved going to see them play.
Billy is survived by his wife, Kathy Payne Brackins; sons, Aaron Brackins (Tara), Adam Brackins (Jenny), and Randy Brackins (Jillian); grandchildren, Kaelyn, Chandler, Riley, Emma, Alex and Olivia; brothers, Gene Evert Brackins, and Jim Brackins (Barbara); sister-in-laws, Rosie Brackins, and Marie Brackins; along with several nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his dog Peanut.
The Brackins family will receive friends on Sunday May 5, 2024 at Jonesborough Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Minister Henry Payne and Minister Travis Sanson officiating, James Turner will lead singing. Graveside Service will be Monday May 6, 2024 in Fairview Cemetery beginning at 11:00 AM.
