JOHNSON CITY - Betty Jean Range, 82, Johnson City passed away Monday, October 2, 2023 with her family by her side. She was a lifetime native of Washington County and was a daughter of the late Homer and Rose Copeland Dulaney. Betty retired from Woodridge Hospital as an admissions clerk. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and she loved serving as a Lay Leader for Eden Methodist Church for many years. Betty was a talented gospel singer and sang at many different venues and churches. Above all, she dedicated her entire life to the Lord, Jesus Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill N. Range in 2009; two sons, Bruce Range and Jeff Range; also, a brother, Billy Dulaney.
Survivors include her children, Rick Range and his wife, Angela of Jonesborough and Tammy Wolfe and her husband, Tony of Seymour; a brother, David Dulaney and wife, Beth of Sevierville; nine grandchildren, Brandon Range, Zachary Range, Melanie Range, Houston Nichols, Chelsea Howard and husband, John, Luke Range, Whitney Johnson and husband, Austin, Cortney Wolfe and Kelley Dupuy and husband, Sam; eight great-grandchildren, Makiah Maxwell, June Johnson, Porter Howard, Mayzie Range, Gracyn Howard, Skylar Range, Oakley Range and Vander Range. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Betty will be conducted at 4:00 PM Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Eden Methodist Church, 1620 Mill Springs Road, Jonesborough with Pastor Bryan Orchard officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the service hour. Interment will follow in the Eden – Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Houston Nichols, Luke Range, Tony Wolfe, Sam Depuy, John Howard and Wayne Dulaney.
