NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - Bettie Jane Boggs, 79, of North Charleston, South Carolina, wife of James Leon Boggs entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 5, 2024. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024, in Oakland Avenue Baptist Church, 2823 E. Oakland Avenue, Johnson City at 1:00 PM with Pastor Roy Yelton and Rev. Mark Epperson officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 PM at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service.

Bettie was born February 12, 1945, in Bristol, Virginia, daughter of the late George Buck Addison and the late Dorothy Eden Addison. Her career spanned over 36 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Bettie was a member of Grace Alliance Church of North Charleston. Bettie loved bowling and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, they meant the world to her. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, James; three sons, David Leon Boggs (Shannon) of North Carolina, Christopher Keith Boggs (Keetra) of Wasilla, Alaska, Darrell Tracy Boggs (Melinda) of Summerville, SC; five grandchildren, Chas Graham Burroughs (Madison) of Summerville, SC, Autumn Wood (Johnny) of Summerville, SC, Dallas James Boggs of North Charleston, SC, David Keith Boggs of North Charleston, Kirsten Nicole Boggs of Rock Hill, SC; four great-grandchildren, Beckham Burroughs, Greyson Boggs, Mason Boggs, Summer Wood; sister, Sue Athanus of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, George Andrew Addison (Dorothy) of Chattanooga, TN and many loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister; Lois Jean.

Memorials may be made to Grace Alliance Church of North Charleston, 8101 Northside Drive, North Charleston.
