Becky Morton Obituary
ELIZABETHTON - Becky Marie (Campbell) Morton, age 68, of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at her home. Becky was born in Elizabethton to the late Bill and Elizabeth (Honeycutt) Campbell. In addition to her parents, Becky was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Ray Morton in 2022; her brother, Michael Campbell; her sister, Nancy Gray; and her brother-in-law, Jerry Price.
Becky retired as a seamstress at Levi Strauss and Company. She was a devoted member of Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church where she taught beginners Sunday school class.
Those left to cherish and remember Becky's memory include her four sons, Joe (Emily) Lingerfelt, Sampson Lingerfelt, Jason Lingerfelt and Charlie Lingerfelt all of Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Brooklyn Lingerfelt, Joseph Lingerfelt, Maci Lingerfelt, Aiden Lingerfelt and Patricia Lingerfelt; and her nieces and nephews, Crystal Cable, Jim Price, Bill Jones, Amy Price O'Hara, Roy Hartley, Lynn Wilson, Sandy Grindstaff, Michelle Hartley Shoun and Chris Hartley. Many other family members and friends also survive.
A graveside service to celebrate Becky's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Lyons Chapel Cemetery on Dry Creek Road, Elizabethton with Pastor Randy Johnson officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 AM.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in Becky's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
