JOHNSON CITY - Becky Judith Altman, age 66, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Hobart Charles Gillette and Barbara Ealy Gillette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas William Altman; four brothers, Roger, Freddie, Charles, and Gerald Gillette; and two sisters, Beverly Gillette and Brenda Chase.
Becky was a member of Oakland Avenue Baptist Church. She had retired from Gordon's Furniture as a finisher. She loved working puzzles, reading her bible, and watching the show Friends.
She is survived by one son, Walter Dale Berry, Jr.; one sister, Janie Walker and husband Frosty; two brothers, Garry Gillette, and Rocky Gillette and wife Brenda; special brother, Terry Fagan; special sister-in-law, Patty Altman; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 12:30PM until 1:45PM at Monte Vista Funeral Home. Committal Service and Interment will follow at 2:00PM in Garden of the Word at Monte Vista Memorial Park with Pastor Charles Biggs officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family would like to express their thanks to Liz Moralez, Dr. Pearson and nurse Rhonda, and Paschal Lewis for all the love and care that was shown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
