ELIZABETHTON - Barbara Allen Hill Miller, age 82, of Elizabethton, TN went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 22, 2023 following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Carson Hill and Verna McKeehan Hill Hopson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Miller, Sr; son, Johnny Miller; infant daughter, Barbara Miller; brother, Ray Hill and sister, Roma Jean Harris.
Barbara enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three children George Miller, Jr (Karen), Ray E. Miller (Nancy) and Becky Miller Morefield (Tommy Jr), all of Elizabethton; sister, Lois Hutto, of Elizabethton; special relative and life-time friend, June McKeehan, of Johnson City and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.
A service to celebrate Barbara's life will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2023 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Randy English officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM prior to the service on Thursday.
The graveside service and committal will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton at 9:15 AM on Friday.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Carter County Rescue Squad for all their loving care and support during this difficult time.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Carter County Rescue Squad, 105 Iodent Way, Elizabethton, Tennessee 37643.
