ROAN MOUNTAIN - Barbara Snodgrass Ellis, 86, Roan Mountain passed away Friday, October 17, 2025 at her residence. She was born February 20, 1939 in Johnson City to the late Howard and Helen Dugger Snodgrass. Barbara graduated from Science Hill High School. She retired from the US Government. She loved being with her family, going to the beach and sitting in the sun on her porch. She was a member of Lower Shell Creek Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul "Sonny" Ellis and a brother Larry Snodgrass.

Survivors include her Children: Lisa Ellis (Tom) Boyle, Lutz, Florida, Melanie Ellis (Stumpy) Avjean, Roan Mountain and Shawn Ellis (Jeff) Green, Leesburg, Virginia. Six Grandchildren: Tyler Boyle, Laura Smith, Kevin Green, Jessica Smith, Madelyn Avjean and Zachary Avjean, Six Great Grandchildren. Her Siblings: Sally Webb, Vicki Mendez and Jim Snodgrass.

It was her wish to be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held November 2, 2025 at the Lower Shell Creek Christian Church. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
