Barbara Ann Barnett, age 79, of Hampton, TN, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 at her home. A native of Westchester, PA, Barbara is a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Mazie Mary Emmaline (Brooks) Porter. She loved Christ and enjoyed working in her flowers. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn F. Barnett; daughter, Linda Darlene Gortney; daughter-in-law, Kathy Lou Barnett; and grandsons, David Lee Porter and Scotty Ray Barnett.
Barbara Ann Barnett has left behind to cherish her memory: children: JoAnn M. Ramsey, Paul G. Barnett, Timothy R. Barnett, Susan L. Vaughn, Karen D. Curtis, and Jeff A. Barnett; granddaughter, Keshia Gortney; several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers: Bill Porter and Kenny Porter; and several nieces and nephews
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Barbara Ann Barnett in a funeral service to be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 24, 2024 in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. Pastor David Montgomery, Pastor Richard Bawgus, and Pastor Joey Murdock will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 24, 2024 and will continue until service time at Valley Funeral Home. A graveside committal service will be held following the funeral, in White Pine Cemetery, in Green Mountain, NC.
