Annis Parker December 5, 1928- April 14, 2024
KINGSPORT - Annis Lakie Fraley Parker, 95, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away April 14, 2024 after a brief illness.
Annis was born December 5, 1928 in Dungannon, Virginia. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Louis Parker and her parents Patton Fraley and Cleo Reese.
Annis is survived by her three sons, Timothy Lee Parker (Catherine Ann) of Lynchburg, VA, Gary Wayne Parker of Dearfield Beach, FL, and Jerry Lynn Parker of Kingsport, TN, three grandchildren, Amber LeeAnn Parker of Lynchburg, VA, Joseph Elijah Parker (Kelly), of Gastonia, NC, and Leslie Ranson Parker Beltowski (Chad), of Richmond, VA. In addition, she is survived by five great- grandchildren, Lakie Reese Parker, Parker Esme Beltowski, Wade Russell Beltowski, Nina Victoria Parker, Indy Lux Parker and a host of nephews and nieces.
Annis was especially close to her sisters-in-law. It seemed like most evenings they would gather for a quilting party or a game of Yahtzee. They had a wonderful time of laughter, good nature banter, and always coffee and often times cookies. Theirs was an amazing support group without being labeled a support group. The counseling and advice dispensed at these gatherings was priceless.
According to her grandchildren, Annis was the BEST Mamaw to have walked the Earth (and the best back scratcher! too). She invested abundant time and energy pouring love and support into their lives. She never missed a birthday, graduation or wedding. Her grandchildren have precious memories of Mamaw taking them to Dollywood and Fun Fest frequently and, of course, always having the house stocked with Little Debbie Cakes!
Annis will be sorely missed. She was a gentle, kindhearted, caring lady with a warm smile who was always approachable and ready to listen. She had a lighthearted sense of humor who loved life and her family immensely. Everyone considers their mother, the best mother ever. But according to Tim, Gary, and Jerry - she was the best mother of all time, no question about it!
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Parker's Chapel in Kingsport, TN. at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parker's Chapel.

Loved Annis. Her favorite line at July 4th party or any visit was "come back". She was so joyful until in the end when she was tired. I know she is resting in perfect health. I only knew her for 3 years but know she adored her family
