JOHNSON CITY - Anna Katherine Seymour, 78, Johnson City went home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 12, 2024 in the Four Oakes Nursing Center. She was a native of Jackson, Ohio and was a daughter of the late Raymond Charles Hughes and Hannah Mae Reynolds Hughes. Anna was a member of the Day of Deliverance Revival Center in Johnson City. She was a Dietician having worked at Highland County Hospital in Hillsboro Ohio. Granny loved Jesus; her faith was her strength. She lived to love her family and friends, especially her 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Granny loved the simple things in life, birds, puzzles of all kinds and making candy. She was loved by all who were blessed to have known her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Hughes and four sisters, Jean Stroup, Ruth Henderson, Marilyn Canter, and Linda Crabtree.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Oney and partner Eugene Mennig of Limestone; four sons, Steven Walter Gray and wife, Sheila of Rocky Fork, Ohio, Jeffrey Todd Gray of Johnson City, Douglas Allen Gray and partner Olivia Tipton of Chuckey and James Ryan Seymour and wife, Brittni of Johnson City; a sister, Karen Johnson and a brother, James Hughes both of Jackson, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Lisa Cochran, Lori Gross, Joshua Taylor, Jorden Taylor, Stephen Gray, Courtney Bailey, Rebecca Jordan, Clayton Tipton, Kate Tipton, Adella Gray and Eva Gray; 12 great-grandchildren, Dakota, Cameron, Chloe, Jasmine, Seth, Caleb, Colbie, Emmalyn, Elan, Zander, Zailey and Zivah; a special nephew, John Stroup; very special friend, Alyce Whaley; also several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at Gray Community Chest 113 Gray Ruritan Dr Gray Tan 37615 between noon and 5pm on Friday, January 19, 2024.
