Anna Feathers Obituary

KINGSPORT - Anna Ruth Feathers, aged 86, of Kingsport, TN, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2024, in Gray, TN. Born on September 3, 1937, in Kingsport, she lived a full life surrounded by friends and family in her beloved hometown. Anna Ruth was a cherished mother to Lori Ann Holt (married to Donald) and a loving grandmother to Heather Callahan. She was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Feathers, and her two brothers.

A proud graduate of Holston High School in 1955, Anna Ruth dedicated her life to her family and her passion as a homemaker and beautician at Ruth's Beauty Shop. She was also an active and devoted member of Liberty Church of the Brethren.

Anna Ruth's warm spirit will be remembered for her adoration of animals, particularly her Min Pin, Max. Her presence will be greatly missed, but the legacy of her kind and nurturing heart will continue to live on through her family and all who knew her.

The family of Ms. Feathers will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Snyder's Memorial in Gray, TN. The funeral service will follow with Pastor Gary Gentry officiating. The graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Liberty Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Kingsport, TN. Pallbearers will be Donald Holt, Bill Greear, Gary Mumpower, Travis Crockett, Robbie Feathers, and Richard Dye.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association www.heart.org or the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org.
