ELIZABETHTON - Alice Faye Richmond, age 71, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Alice was born in Limestone, Tennessee to the late Joseph Miller and Mary Kate (Gillespy) Reeves. In addition to her parents, Alice was also preceded in death by a daughter, Serena Jean Miller; a sister, Joyce Miller; and her brothers, Joe Miller and Charles Miller.
Alice had worked as a welder at Sieman's Corporation and attended Phillippi Baptist Church. She loved attending church, singing, loved children and spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 52 years, Richard Richmond of the home; two children: Jeff (Jennifer) Richmond of Johnson City and Margaret Richmond also of Johnson City; her grandchildren: George, Anthony, Haylay, Tiona, Tiya and Monty, Bryson, Darius, Esanse, Victoria and Seyven; six great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren on the way.
A service to celebrate Alice's life will be conducted at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Grace Temple (208 Garden Drive, Johnson City, Tennessee) with Pastor Mark Redd officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM prior to the service on Tuesday.
The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
