ELIZABETHTON - It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Alice Elizabeth Peters, age 57 of Elizabethton, TN on February 1, 2024 at JCMC following a brief illness.
Alice was born in Elizabethton, TN November 17, 1966 and was a 1985 graduate of Unaka High School. She is preceded in death by her parents Auda Ralph Peters and Betty Jane Cheatham Peters, and brother, Charles Edward Peters.
She is survived by two sisters, Genia Peters Pierce of Elizabethton and Becky Peters Lay (John) of Chattanooga. Although she was never blessed with her own children, she was a second Mom to her nieces and her beloved dachshund, Harley.
She was of Baptist faith and her spiritual gift was helping others. She was a valued employee and excelled in management positions during her career in retail.
Alice was loved by numerous friends and never met a stranger. She loved to talk and make people laugh. Although Alice had numerous close friends, her lifelong friend, Wendy Taylor Moore was like a sister to her and always supported Alice through thick and thin.
Per Alice's wishes, only a graveside ceremony at Blevins Cemetery will be held on Monday, February 5th at 12 noon. Reverend Charles Scherer will be officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Friends and family are welcome to stop by her home to visit with family. Special thanks to the staff at JCMC, Hermitage, and Amedisys Home Health for providing excellent care and compassion to her and the family. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 11:50 a.m. Monday. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
