Alexander Lacey Obituary

Alexander O. K. Lacey

March 3, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alexander O. K. Lacey, affectionately known as "Okie" who left us on March 3, 2025. Born in Johnson City, TN, Okie was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend who made an unforgettable impact on everyone he met.

After earning his associate's degree, Okie dedicated his career to the Pipe Industry, where he excelled as a Pipe Supervisor. He carried a strong work ethic and took immense pride in what he did, but nothing compared to his love for family and friends. His legacy will surely live on through the warmth he brought to our lives.

Okie was preceded in death by: Father Carl Lacey

Okie proudly served in the Army and his dedication to his country was only matched by his devotion to his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy "Jo" Lacey; son Carl Lacey and girlfriend Madison Ray; two daughters, Jenny Caraway and fiancé Jeff Gunter, Amie Guy; son, Denver Dewberry & (Becky); and his mother, Theresa Allen. Two sisters Stephanie Shipley & (Michael), Cherry Starnes & (Alan); two brothers William Carl Lacey (Johnnie), Donnie Wilson (Pat); Grandchildren Jacob, Eva, Daisy, Maggie, VeraMae, Robert, Austin, Harley, and Orian.

The family will receive friends and family on Saturday March 8, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Morris Baker Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 PM. Officiated by Reverend Johnny Melton.

Memorials may be made in Okie's name to Autism Society of East TN at www.asaetc.org. or Wounded Warriors Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.

In this time of grief, let's remember Okie for his kind heart, infectious laugh, and the countless moments that brought joy to our lives. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
